Trip Itinerary

Drive from Pokhara ( 822 m ) to Kande ( 1770 m ) and Trek to Australian Camp ( 2065 m )

After breakfast in Pokhara, we'll drive for 45 minutes to Kande(1,770 m) village through the scenic foothills of Sarangkot and Phedi. From Kande, we'll hike gradually uphill for 1.5-2 hours through shaded forests to reach the scenic hilltop of Australian Camp (2,100m).  We'll savor magnificent views of the Annapurna Range and nearby peaks and enjoy the sunset view today. We'll stay overnight at Australian Base Camp.

 

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Kande and Trek to Australian Camp:
Driving hours : 45 minutes  
Trekking hours : 1.5 -2 hours 
Starting Altitude : 820 m
Final Altitude : 2065 m

Trek from Australian Camp ( 2065 m ) to Phedi ( 1330 m ) and Drive to Pokhara ( 822 m )

On our second day, we enjoy the sunrise view over the surrounding peaks. After breakfast, we'll descend from Australian Camp through tranquil forests, passing terraced farms and traditional villages. We arrive at Dhampus (1,650 m), we will take a short break here and enjoy the village of Dhampus before reaching our waiting transport at Phedi (1,330 m) village. After trekking downhill on stone steps. We'll drive back to Pokhara for lunch, concluding our short but scenic Australian Base Camp Trek.

What is the maximum age limit for someone attempting this trek?

There is no maximum age limit set for this relatively easy trek. Trekking poles are recommended for the section from the Australian Camp to Dhampus. As long as one has a decent fitness level, any age group can complete the Australian Camp route.

When is the best season for the Australian Camp trek?
