Trip Itinerary
This day involves a crucial trip planning briefing at the office. Our experienced guide will walk you thoroughly on the entire trek plan of 4 days. You can get acquainted with the team, and ensure everyone is well-prepared for the upcoming Mardi Himal Trek.
On the first day, we will depart from Pokhara to Dhampus on a bus/taxi drive, and from there, we’ll embark on a trek to the Forest Camp. We will have our lunch in Pittam Deurali(2100m), a lovely village from where we may overlook the Annapurna range if the weather is clear. After lunch, we'll spend the majority of the day walking into the forest, where we can observe oak, maple, rhododendron, and hemlock. If we are lucky, we may see deer, monkeys, and other wildlife. You will get to experience the transition from the bustling city to the tranquility of the mountains, surrounded by lush greenery in this 6-7 hours of hike.
On the second day of the Mardi Himal Trek, we will trek from Forest Camp to High Camp (3550 meters). The trail from Rest Camp takes one hour, and after a half hour, we reach Low Camp, where we can enjoy stunning views of Mount Fishtail. For those who want to finish the trek within four days, we recommend following the Siding to Low Camp trail. Lunch can be enjoyed at either Low Camp or Badal Danda (3210 m). From Badal Danda, we will enjoy 360-degree mountain views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail. The trail continues through grassland and Rhododendron bushes, with the possibility of seeing the colorful Danphe pheasant. After another 2-3 hours, we reach High Camp, offering stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, and Mardi Himal.
On the third day of our Mardi Trekking, we will hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m). We will start early in the morning to catch the sunrise view and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. We will hike through a narrow path to reach the upper viewpoint, where we will see various mountains, including Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, Baraha Shikhar, Tent Peak, and Singha Chuli. After lunch, we will trek to Badal Danda, a 1.5-hour walk and spend our night there.
On the fourth day, we will have our breakfast at Badal Danda and descend to Landruk, 7.5 kilometers and 6-7 hours of walking. We will have lunch at Rest Camp or Forest Camp, and drive to Pokhara for 2-3 hours. Our trekking will conclude at our hotel in Pokhara.
